Mobile Sametime status icon

Hello!

I have a questions and hope anybody has a solution or hint for me!

When I use the HCL Notes embedded Sametime client (version 12.0.1) and logon also via a mobile device thereafter, the Sametime status icon changed only in the memo form (mail template 12.0.1) to the mobile Sametime status icon, but not in the Sametime contact list or in any other database views - why?

With Sametime 11 and above deployment, you may notice when users connect using the HCL Sametime Mobile Client the presence awareness doesn't show a small phone sign against it, rather it is just the usual small green available icon. (hcltechsw.com)

Hello Andreas,

The Sametime design changed in version 11 to keep the icon the same across all clients. The reason mail and awareness still reflects the mobile icon status is because that feature is still using legacy chat for awareness. See the following enhancement request and vote/provide feedback.

The enhancement request here should be updated to allow the end user the "option" of using mobile device icon when the most recent connection is a mobile client. Some users may want to hide this icon when using mobile client, while others will want it displayed to share their current location.
