I have an ongoing issue in a database where attachment icons disappear from a rich-text field and cause a “Cannot save bitmap to disk” on save. In most cases, the actual file is still available, so detaching and reattaching fixes the issue, but most of my users don’t know what to do. To be more specific about the icon - it’s gone. Just a blank box shows where the icon should be. Any ideas on how I can find documents with this issue (I’ve compared fields values on docs and can’t find anything that seems to indicate a missing icon) and how I can prevent this issue from happening?

Hi Max, did you end up fixing the problem. I have exactly the same problem.
I have managed to do the following but no permanent fix.

The detach and re-attach is a solution, but it is near impossible with so many documents.

I’ve tried to copy the database and just a few documents. and found it is the actual document.

I’ve removed the fields (RTF) it is stored in and the icon appears at the bottom of the notes document, but can not be
modified. I don’t get the error when I then edit and save.
Any ideas.
