Missing applications in Lotus Notes Open Button

Hello everybody,

Please help me to restore my defoult Open button:

After I clicked File- close all, my open button changed to this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vikulova/3955846660/

Now i cannot open my workspace :frowning:

My problem only occurs when I run Notes in Standard Mode, not in Basic Mode.

Subject: Open List disappeared

That’s spooky. Something similar happened to me this morning too.

My Open List has disappeared. If I click the Open button, the button appears to be clicked but nothing opens. If I dock the open list, at first the bookmark bar appeared but had no icons in it. Later, after I tried some things to fix it, the bookmark bar just failed to appear at all.

I tried to fix bookmark.nsf using fixup, updall, and compact. That didn’t help.

I replaced the design of bookmark.nsf. That didn’t help.

I stopped Notes, renamed bookmark.nsf, and restarted Notes. It created a new bookmark.nsf database. But the Open List still doesn’t appear.

I looked at bookmark.nsf in Domino Designer. There I can see (in both of the Bookmarks databases) the outline named UserBookmarkOrder, and it has all of my bookmarks in it, just as I had arranged them.

But they don’t display anymore. Don’t know what to do next except uninstall/reinstall Notes. I got up early this Saturday morning hoping to get some work done. This wasn’t what I had in mind at all.

What will happen if i install the new coming 8.5.1? Will this fix the open list button?

Subject: try…

Try right clicking on the open button and choose ‘Use Large Icons’. This did the trick for me. You can uncheck it after if you like.

Subject: We need some files to help track this down

Please can you attach the bookmark db that is not working. If several of you have bookmark db’s that don’t work it would be good multiple bookmarks so we can see if this is the same problem.
