At present we have two companys set under the OU of One. They share and replicate the PAB.Recently when we have tried to upgrade to Notes/Domino 6. Although we have had messages denied so now we are going to seperate the 2 companies all together. our plan is to rebuild a new server using the current server and cert.id’s then to recreate the PAB seperatly.Is there an easier way to take out our users from the shared pab and put them into the new one. Other than recreating a whole new one and certifying everybody again.??
Anyone ever do something like this and want to give some advice ?
Hi GavinFirstly if your problem is “messages denied” as you mention, I think the problem can be solved with some relatively minor adjustments, without creating two separate organizations. If you decide to give that a try then I’d suggest you post a new message with more dedtails of the problem, see the answers then decide whether to separate the companies or solve the problem.
Anyway, I nearly had to do something like this (separate companies and users) a couple of years ago. I idn’t go ahead with it but I do remember reading some Lotus articles and tech notes about it. I am sure you’ll find the info by searching the article archives. There may well be a PDF on this subject in the developer domain, perhaps in the tutorials.
