Messages sent w/o my knowledge

I use Lotus Notes 6, and everytime I log on and replicate, I see that an e-mail is being sent even though I did not originate any out going mail. I do not see any sent messages in my sent e-mail folder (save option is on).I am concerned that my account is being used to send out spam etc. I have the most recent Symantec virus protection and clean scan.

Has anyone else experienced this?

thnx!

It could be a Return Receipt.

If what you see is “1 sent” next to the Send Outgoing Mail item, then it’s probably a return receipt, or some configuration glitch.

If what you see is “1 sent” next to the name of your mail file (i.e. the envelope named Tom Bobbe), then it’s just Notes synchronising a change between your local mail file and the server, and you can happily ignore it.

Let us know what you’re seeing!

err, well next time you log in, use the Island location, open mail.box and see whats in there.

actaully it can’t hurt to look in there now, a message could be ‘stuck’ and might need to be manually deleted.
