Mailing Address Formats and GetItemValue

Hello,

I am working with a Visual Basic 6 application that collects

information on contacts stored in Notes. I am using GetItemValue on a

domino document object to return items like:

StreetAddress, City, State, Zip etc…

What I would like to do is access the ‘Address Format’ option of Notes

in order to present my mailing addresses in the right format. Can anybody help

with this? thank you.

so I found some information on a Google group about this and it looks like I can get the Address Format from this property:

“$AddressFormat” and “$BusinessAddressFormat”

my new question is:

how do I know what Format

this is? Is there another method I can use to feed “3” in, that will

return the formatted addresses? Sorry to be so clueless but I don’t

know where to find this in code. For example, I know by looking at the

UI that Format #4 is:

Company

First Last

Street Address

Postal Code City

Country/Region

but I’d like to automate this in code and so I still need some other

property/method that will either

  1. return the entire formatted address given a format ID

or

  1. return a token string that I can use to fill the address items in

the right place
