We have a mailbox whose trash bin is automatically emptied after x minutes, although the automatic deletion is set to 2 days.
What could be the reason for that ?

What version of Notes & Domino?
What version is the mail template?
The reason I ask is if it's Version 14, maybe there's a new unknown bug.

If soft deletion is disabled, closing DB after deleting a document will cause the document to be deleted.
Please confirm the following settings in the database properties. (File - Application - Properties)

yes, soft deletion is activated.
We´re using Domino Version 1201FP1 and Notes Client 1202FP3

Thank you for your information. In the past cases, it could solved by the following.
- Disable Soft deletion and re-enable soft deletion and change XX hours value.
- Delete Calendar profile and recreate it.

- Replace mail design by mail template
- Perform the following maintenance task to the mail file.
load compact -C, load updall -R, load FIXUP -F
