Mail template design questions

A question about the mail template so I can try to learn some design techniques.

When I open the mail database, the top left frame has the word “Mail” with a drop down. The drop down gives choices for opening the Calendar or To Do. Below “Mail” is the text “for ”.

That frame’s source seems to be the form SwitcherForm_Mail. When I look at SwitcherForm_Mail, I see a ComputedText which seems to generate the text the text “for ”.

What is generating the “Mail” text and drop down links? How did they do that?

Look at the actions on the switcher forms

Thanks Peter. I see the action.

But how is the action displayed? That is, the text “Mail” with the drop down?

Subject: RE: Mail template design questions

The action is displayed just like any other form action, they’ve just styled the action bar to make it fit with the look they wanted.

The drop-down is because it (Mail) has sub-actions.

Oh. I see it now. Thanks. Can I ask one more, much simpler question?

Where is Calendar Meetings view? Meetings view? (Are they the same?).

Help refers to these views a few times, but I cannot find them.

Thanks very much.
