Mail Rule Trouble

Hi,

I created a rule in our firewall that by default, all out-going mail is blocked. Then I opened a few ports for out-going traffic including 25 TCP, and 1352 TCP/UDP but apparently there are more ports involved in mail exchange. When I created the rule, I started to get messages like “Router: failed to connect to SMTP host google.com…” and “Remote server is not a known TCP/IP host”.

Please can someone help me out.

Your mail server can’t resolve the domain name because DNS resolution is probably block at firewall level as well.
