Mail Rule. Does sender knows his mail is rejected due to some Rule?

I have implement more tight security and have placed a rule for “not reveiving the messege” from outside if attachment is a zip file.

What I want to ask is that when a genuine user sends an email and that mail is rejected by server, I dont see any messege going back to the sender that “you messege was blocked by a mail rule” so the user gets to know what happened with the messege sent !!! I hope some body will answer the question.

You can’t do this (send a reply) using mail rules. You would have to set something up on the server. There might be a product out there to do this sort of thing – I know it’s a popular thing to do.

Most content checking packages will perform this type of role, MailSweeper for smtp is good…

I am sorry, but if you set up a server rule, and set the action as don’t accept message, and you have default smtp error messages, the sender gets (I am trying to remember) a 540 error code, anyway the one that means the email was rejected for policy reasons. It gives no other details though (in my case that I accept no messages containing ebay).
