Dear Admins !!!
We are currently having a problem that many times (inbound) Internet Mails addressed to one user are delivered (incorrectly) to another user. For example, a mail (coming from internet) is addressed to p_johns@abcd.com and it reaches the inbox of p_khan@abcd.com In somecases, the originally intended user(p_john@abcd.com) is no longer a valid user while in other cases it is a valid user(existing in Domino directory). Users are making a lot of noise.
Any clues on why it happens? How can we force Domino to deliver messages only when there is an “exact match” of e-mail address.
Thanks in advance !!!

Subject: Mail Router’s Problem
I would check the followings:
-
Set the InternetAddress Field for each one in document of person.
-
Check the shortname field. This must be unique .
-
Check your Domain/GlobalDomain document for conversation.
-
If you have hub and spoke domino infrustructure, check the namse.nsf on each server which one is responsible for routing to the person for replication conflicts. They must be similar.
-
start some tests from internet. send a few mails from internet to the person and check after that your log.nsf on your Server for addrressing and conversation of user name. you have to begin with smtp server.
The most important fields for this are the shortname and interaddress.
