Mail Recall - Message not found

We are actually migrating our Domino servers to the version 8.02 from the 6.5.5.

We enabled the “Mail Recall” in the server configuration. When I try to recall an e-mail, I receive the following report :

  • Status : Not recalled

  • Details : Message not found

Somebody with the same trouble ?

One more info : If the field “RecallMessageID” I have “OFBBDCE82F.0D68E679-ONC12574CF.00366D1A-C12574CF.003673B8@LocalDomain

@LocalDomain sounds wrong for me.

Using the Message Recall feature in IBM Lotus Notes and Domino V8

Following all requirements in that Technote, I can’t use this feature. 1. I set in config doc:

  • Message Recall: Enabled

  • Allow recall of messages with unread status: Both read and unread

  • Do not allow recall of messages older than: 7 days

  • without any policy

Router: Message 006A0257. Message 0069F5D6 for failed to be recalled by .

  1. a message with subject "Message Recall:"stay in Mail.Box also, for sure keep message in Inbox.

  2. After 7 days, receive a report with:

Summary:

Recipient -

Status - Not Recalled

Server - ServerName

Details - Message was not found !!!

HOW TO SOLVE?

MyNotes:

  1. my Domino Server 8.5 is active server, member of Domino Cluster (2 servers in 1 cluster)

  2. this feature didn’t work in versions: 8.0.2, 8.5 (with all IFs), now 8.5FP1

  3. I install a new test Domino 8.5 server and this feature work fine

Message not found!! It’s correct, because, the ID of sended message and received message are different… now the question is: why the router route internal mails (on same server) using SMTP and not NRPC? Please help…
