I have a problem with a user where whenever she opens her Notes mailbox, it aways opens two different windows/views. Both views point to the same exact database file, so I’m not sure why it’s doing this.
Both the server and client are on R6. The folder structure and
documents displayed is the same, but the views themselves look slightly different from each other.
The first one is opening with all icons in one go, no hierarchy. The second one is oepning with no item
selected on the left icon pane and a grey page on the right
While clicking Mailbox in my welcome page, two times my inbox is opening.
One view is in lotus 6 design and other is in lotus 6.5 (full of grey colored pane)
Database properties and untick “Restore Last viewed by User”.
Delete the workspace ICON on the Workspace (then compact workspace).
Did this fix things???
Then try
Renaming the bookmarks.nsf to .old and restart Notes. This will create a new Bookmakrs.nsf.
Did this fix the issue etc.
The you could remove Cache.ndk and Desktop.ndk to see if this effect it.
Other thing to check is that nothing is in Startup (bookmark etc) this might cause some issue… and remove the bookmark from Side bar and try again to see if this could be the issue. Some views do not open well from bookmarks.
