Lately a problem of sending mail has occured in in one of my Lotus Domino servers where the mail is found to be in the sent folder of the notes client but the server console or the log.nsf is not showing the mail transfer.I have checked the mail.box in the local machine as well as the server and the mail is not there but the receiver is saying that he has not been receiving the mail.Please clarify

Check the active location document on the senders client, for two things.
Check that it is not using a local mail.box (if so the messages will be queueing on the client and need to be replicated to the server).
Also check that the home server is correct, the client could possibly be dropping the mail on a server that cannot route to the target server.
By that I meant that if you and I both have mail files on server1, but when I write a mail to you and hit send the message gets dropped onto server2 then server2 must be able to route mail to server1 otherwise you will never get the mail from me.
Here’s a question, can the sender send to other people on the same server as the orginal recipient. What happens when sending a message to the recipient he cc’s someone else.
Get the user to use “Trace Entire Path” in the delivery options dialogue box.
