Is it possible to have an alias for a mail-in DB? I have tried adding more than 1 name to the mail-in name field, seperated by a comma. And tried adding more than 1 address to the internet address field - tried both comma and semi-colon as seperators.Used “tell router update config” in between just in case - but no joy.
I can happily accept email for 1 name but not a second or third.
Is there a way of doing this, or will I have to revert to a person document, which is not ideal.

I think you’ll need to create a mail-in db document for each name you want to use, all pointing to the same database.

I’ve had luck with multiple names to one mail-in database.
All I did was enter the additional names on new lines in the “Mail-in name:” field.
For example, one such entry has 8 variations such as: assistance, cs, designer, designers, etc. Most were coming in to assistance, but there were a few to cs and I tested the option for “helpers” and that worked as well.
No semi-colon, no comma, just press enter, enter the alias and save…

I have tested by adding an email address as alias in “Mail-In Name” of a mail-in database and it worked fine for me.

This only works for internal addressing. If your Address Lookup is set to “Fullname Only” (which it should be to reduce spam), then ONLY the address in the internet address field will work. And it only allows you one entry there!
