Dear colleagues,
Searching this forum for threats on email archiving, I was unable to find the right information on an issue I am facing. Also, available documentation is not crystal clear (or it could be my english) on the problem.
In our company we have set up a separate Domino server to be used as an email archive server. For some reason, after a user has created an archive profile, setting the archive destination to this server, nothing happens (except for an error) when doing a manual archive action. Now, in our company regular users have no Create Db nor Create Replica rights on servers. When an administrator creates the archive db, then the archiving works fine for that user.
Yes, compact -a has been setup in a program document.
What am I missing here? I read some entries mentioning access criteria for an archive log. Does this archive log require a specific filename? And will the mailserver need an explicit ACL entry to authorize creation of an archive file? Or do I need to allow users to create databases on th archive server?
Thank you. Sincerely
Jean-Pierre
