Mail Archive Not Removing Documents

I’m not real sure when this started happening, but I’ve only just noticed it. I archive on schedule daily…I like to keep my mail file small! Anyway, that works great and the documents show up in my archive db. However, they also still show in my server mail db. Or the stubs apparently, because if I try to open one it says document has been deleted. I’ve tried to compact the db, I’ve run fixup on it, too. But they’re still there. And it’s not everything that is getting archived. For example it archived one on 7/27 and I only see that in the archive, but one that was archived on 7/19 show up in both.

And…it seems that it’s not archiving documents that it should according to my criteria. It archived some on 7/19 and 7/27, but has left several from 7/22, 7/23, etc.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Subject: Run fixup -f & compact -c on the mail file

Hi,The auto archiving sometimes brings such issues for specifically large databases, it even happens when the archiving is done in the server side using compact -a. As a work around we have tested:

Run fixup -f & compact -c on the mail database then try archiving, usually it solves these kind of problems.

Else create a new copy of that database as the last option.
