Anyone tried running Notes 9.0.1 FP1 on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite yet?
It comes up, but I can’t type anything in the client- emails, address fields, search boxes, etc- they all ignore the keyboard input. Mouse input works fine though, and strangely, the integrated Sametime Client allows me to type into it without a problem.
I realize that Yosemite isn’t going GA until the fall, but does anyone have any insight into what the issue is? I recall Notes not working during the Mavericks betas either, but I think that was due to changes to underlying Cocoa APIs.
Olaf, here the same, I would really like to have a workaround.
Ying Le Jia <> Do you have a hint for the community already? Would be great to get 9.01FP1 Mac client running Independent of the IBM Support processes.
Curious to hear if anyone has given Notes 9.0.1 a spin with the latest Preview of Yosemite? If you have… would appreciate any observations you can share.
Subject: Notes 9 social edition - not working well - no typing possible
Same for me - I tried to use Notes 9.0.1 FP1 on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite…sametime (embedded) is working OK, but typing message, input boxes, etc.in Notes is not possible. No response
I re-installled but no effect, also reinstalled java, also now effect…very strange
I did. 9.01 is working when i start up Notes. Then after a while i am not able to type anything in email. Sametime is still working.
IMHO there are some “window” management issues between plugin’s and Notes. You can reproduce this if you configure Windows and Themes “Open document in each window” and leave one window open and try to open another document.
However running Notes in Basic Notes without all these eclipse crap seems to work fine
Installed 9.0.1 FP2 (Yosemite GM Candidate 3) and it crashes on launch – I do see the splash screen for a second, but the app never finishes loading. When I installed FP2, it listed an error message in the dialog window - “Failed to launch platform provisioning.” The app itself shows FP2 in the version number.
Subject: Is there a way to perform the slip stream manually?
We ended our support on version 9.0.1. I can download FP2 from fix central, however, I don’t have access to download the slip stream. This slip stream is still for the same version that we ended our support on, it’s not a new version, so why can’t I download it? IBM should consider making this available to everyone that had support up to 9.0.1.
Is there a way to manually slip stream FP2 into the existing 9.0.1 installer for Mac? Is there a work around if we don’t have support anymore and can’t download the slip stream version of 9.0.1?
