Mac OS, LDAP Look-ups and F9

On our Windows PCs, we create LDAP accounts in the users’ Contacts so they can connect with an external LDAP server to do name\address look-ups. On a new email, they type in a name in the address field, press F9 to initiate the look-up, and a list of names are returned and they select the person they want to email.

This does not work on Macs. Pressing F9 doesn’t initiate a look-up, nor does pressing alt F9. I’ve tried various combinations but nothing worked.

Mac users, like Windows users, can click on the TO button and then select the LDAP directory from the drop down menu and then search for a user. That takes more time. Anyone have a solution to this?

Thanks in advance,

Greg

Subject: Thank you for provide more info

Would you help provide a available server info for us, or detail steps to setup up a corresponding server? Your detail info will be appreciated. So that we can have same ENV as yours to reproduce your question. And F9 works in a default new mail.
