Mac client error when connecting to SameTime

Hoping the community can assist. I am not the server admin and attempts to get local help has not been successful. I am supporting over 100 Mac systems (running 10.9.5 or 10.10.2/3) all running Notes 9.0.1fp3 with interim fix 3 and every time the users launch Notes, then received the following error when Sametime connects:

“Required directory or configuration information is missing. Voice and video services will not be available. Please contact your administrator.”

I found this article http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21447891 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21447891 and this one http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21498750 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21498750

I’ve confirmed that the client setup is configured as Direct Connection but the error continues to appear. Regarding the business card advice, as mentioned, I have no visibility to the server so this information was passed on to the local admin. I’ve received no assistance and was told nothing could be done. I find that hard to believe as there must be something generating this error that can be suppressed. As is, I have a vocal group that is not pleased with the error dialog.

Any recommendations or links to tech articles I did not find would be appreciated.

Subject: Question

Did this ever work? Do all of the Macs have the same issues? I know they just release a patch for samtime embedded client for release 9 that contains a large number of mac fixes. You might want to give it a try.

Thanks for the heads up. I will seek out that update. To answer your question, this was not an issue with the 8.5 branch. (We had plenty of other issues as most Macs were running Illustrator and there is an auth proxy) With the move to Yosemite 9 was a requirement. We started at the 9.0.1 slipstream install and I’ve been applying fix packs and interim fixes as they come and I get approval. And yes, this is all Macs when Sametime connects. I have a few users who refuse to sign in to Sametime so they do not see the error. However, I’ve confirmed the presence of the error by having them sign in.

Any chance you have the release notes link for that fix  Finding stuff on the site can be daunting at times. Searching beginning now

Thank you for the suggestions!
