Lotus updating Domino in real time

I apologize in advance if this subject has been touched on before.

Does anyone know how to force Notes to send updates to Domino immediately after add/editing records in the calendar database? It seems my client will hold on to changes until I quit the client (or an arbitrary amount of time passes), at that point it sends the new information to the server. Is there any way to make this function real-time?

Subject: Lotus updating Domino in real time

I assume you are working on a local copy of the database. You just need to set an accelarated replication schedule or manually replicate when you are done.
