hi all,

is there any way to get a list of all editable fields / computed fields in a form using lotus script?

You should be able to get most of what you want via Notesform.

Unfortunately NotesForm will not help because the GetFieldType method of the object (which I assume your suggesting to use) doesn’t return whether the field is computed or editable, only the type for example rich text, number list, etc. You can see the designer help Type property entry for NotesItem for the full list.

It’s can’t be done easily, but it can be done with DXL. If you transform the form to DXL using the NotesDOMParser you can locate the fields nodes in the DXL and detect the “TYPE” attribute from it. The type is either “editable” or “computed” I did a quick export to DXL and located an example for you;
