Does anyone know of a good Lotus Script book to purchase? I’ve read a few reviews and I want to make sure I get a goond one.
Thanks…

Two best bets are
Lotus Notes & Domino Essential Reference
Lotus Notes and Domino 6 Programming Bible
and don’t discount the usefulness of designer help!

This is about the only exclusively LotusScript book ever written, unfortunately. I found it more of an encyclopedic reference than a teaching guide, a failing common to Notes books, although the examples later on in the book are quite good. A revised edition would be welcome. You might look at more general books on Notes development which condesend to pay attention to the needs of the novice. I’ll be utterly mercenary and suggest checking out this one:
As of last week, it’s two versions out of date, but the core object model, which is what it concentrates on in the programming chapters, hasn’t changed much. You might also see if you can find anything by Rose Kelleher. She’s quite good.

There was also the now out-of-print “TY: Teach Yourself LotusScript for Notes and Domino 4.6” by Rocky Oliver and Bill Kreisle – a good beginner’s book if you can find it used (or maybe in a public library – their computer books are usually a little out of date). You’d have to fill in the gaps between it and ND6 & ND7 yourself, but the basic language and a large part of the object model were pretty much the same back then, and the style of the book is relaxed without being watered down at all. (I would really like to have seen this book updated, but TY itself seems to have died.)
There’s also Julian Robichaux’s unfinished book, a free download at: nsftools - Tools - The Unfinished LotusScript Book . If nothing else, it’s something you won’t waste money on, although I don’t know if it’s everything a beginner wants to see in a book.
And then there’s a series of 12 articles by Scott Good in the 2002 issues of Lotus Advisor magazine which are probably the best ground-up tutorial I’ve seen. If you don’t have access to the magazines themselves, the articles are available on CD at http://www.advisorstore.com/as-dil.html (Best of Lotus Advisor: LotusScript Programming). And let’s not forget Rocky Oliver’s LotusScript Jumpstart at http://advisor.com/Academy.nsf/pid/ILD1007 .
