Lotus Notes SQL Driver

I need to create a ODBC connection in my windows 2016 server running MsSql 2017,to be able to set up a linked server in MsSql.
I think that i need Lotus Notes SQL Driver 9.0 and install it in this server, then i can connect to Lotus Notes databases in the Lotus Notes server.
I think i need a driver called ODBC_ND_9.0_W64_EN
Where can i download this driver - or newer driver for this?

Do i need a license to install this or is it free to use?

I think you need a MsSQL 2017 and have to download from the Mircosoft page.

Install the driver on the Domino server and test the connection.

You do not need a license for that.

What you need is available on Flexnet. If you have a valid Domino license you can download it from there

HCL ODBC DRIVER FOR NOTES/DOMINO 9.0 FOR WINDOWS 64 BIT ENGLISH102.01MBSep 25, 2019ODBC_ND_9.0_W64_EN.zip

Thanks, i found it and installed it. When i start ODBC64 and try to setup a System DSN i get an error:

The setup routines for the Lotus Notes Driver (*.nsf) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126: The specified module could not be found. (C:\NotesSQL\nsqlc32.dll).

But the file exists in C:\NotesSQL

I have tried to run ODBC64 as administrator, do not help.

I have no other Lotus Software in the server, and cannot find any ODBCINI.ini in c:\windows or other place in the server.

Do I need any other software in my MsSql server to get this up and running?

I do not have any notes.init anywhere in the server.

I created 2 files in c:\NotesSQL named notes.init and ODBCINI.ini and entered:

Drive=C:\NotesSQL\nsql32.dll
Setup=C:\NotesSQL\nsqlc32.dll

I have added c:\NotesSQL to Path in environment.

But this did not help me, still get the same error.

I am now stuck again and in your hands. :)

The config file for Domino is named notes.ini not notes.init : I never set up an ODBC connection for Domino so I am sorry I can't help you more.

Sorry - that was a type error. I named it notes.ini

I found this in a readme in NotesSQL:

Where can i find "IBM Notes Client" - since it i required for running this?

Hi Roberto, could you please post a link for downloading the NotesSql 9.0 32 bit driver ,

sorry but the link in your reply seems to no longer works.

And based on your reply what kind of license-code is required to allow me to download the driver ?

Note the i'm an IBM's insider and the notes client is already deployed to all employ workstation:

there is a way to get the license code from the installed one ?

Thanks in advance , regards

Massimiliano

Sorry but I do not understand when you say "Note the i'm an IBM's insider". Either you are a customer or a Business Partner or an IBMer. Depending on this, your company should have a valid Domino license and so you can access the Flexnet download site. Let's take this offline so we do not clutter the forum, you can write me at roberto.boccadoro@eldeng.it and we can go on

Does anyone know whether or not the "HCL ODBC DRIVER FOR NOTES/DOMINO 9.0 FOR WINDOWS 64 BIT ENGLISH" support TLS 1.2?

The FlexNet ODBC Driver is for Notes/Domino 9.0 and will not install without a Notes SQL Driver, which is NOT available for download from HCL.

There is a posting in https://domino-ideas.hcltechsw.com/ideas/DOMINO-I-27 describing the CDATA may have drivers to replace Notes SQL. I do not see any Domino/Notes related drivers on the CDATA.com website. I am waiting for a reply to my CDATA support request for Domino/Notes drivers.
