Lotus Notes Embedded Views Not Working After Migration To A New Server

Hi there,

I recently migrated our Lotus Notes Databases to another server. The way that I did it was by creating a new copy of the Database (NSF File) from the current server and I removed ACL and Encryption settings. All database files and templates have been moved over and I reinstalled Lotus Notes Server. I copied over the files on the same path relatively to what the old server had created a new administrator. I can open the databases just fine and browse the content but I can not get the embedded views to work. I can see an error that says “View: ALLByUCPID was unable to launch. To try to launch again, click this rectangle or press the space key with focus on the rectangle”

I tried going into the design view and see if there is something there regarding the function AllByUCPID but I can not see anything related to this. I have added ACL rights to the TG Administrator and I have been running the Domino Admin as Full Administrator but the embedded views still do not work.

Am I missing something? Any help will be appreciated.

Are the embedded views in the same database, or in a different database? If so, has that database been moved as well?

Why not simply replicate all databases from the old server to the new server instead of copying, messing with ACL, etc?

Did you create new copies, or new replicas? It’s been a while, but my recollection is that embedded views tend to break when you make non-replica copies because the references are specific to the replica id.
