Lotus Notes Client 6.5.3 Shuts down at 6:20pm every day

Hi All,

I have a user that experiences the following issue:

Every day, at 6:20pm, her Notes Client shuts down, automatically closing all Notes windows she has open, with no prompting at all.

  1. No error message

  2. No-one else has this issue

  3. I am yet to duplicate this problem on another PC

  4. There is no Windows process that is running (that I can find) that is shutting down notes in such an arbitrary fashion.

Can anyone assist with this? Advice is certainly appreciated.

Well first of all it’s past time to go home for the evening :slight_smile:

Check to see if there are any scheduled events on the client like a replication or a scheduled agent. This would be my first place to look.

I too think that, it is some agent scheduled on client or it is some other activity(LEI ?).

I’d suggest checking on the server log (if you have access) to see what event(s) are occouring at that time every day…

this would show you what agents etc are running…for example.

to open the log - do file - open database, select the servername, and type log.nsf in the box at the bottom and press open.

I think this is a client based agent. You might find something in the LOCAL copy of Log.nsf, but I doubt that the server copy will yield much help.
