I had Notes Client 8.5.1 installed on my computer and it worked fine until I decided uppgrading to 8.5.2. I did check the box for faster startup (Notes loads services during windows startup). After installation and reboot I started to get old errors which had been fixed in 8.5.1. “0x1B1 - Version mismatch between executable and preexisting shared memory versions! EXITING. You may need to stop RTVSCAN or reboot.” but this errors has stopped appearing on windows startup after a while. Now my Notes client crashes every time I try to start it in the morning. After some investigation I found out it has something to do with my Symantec DLO Agent. We have also uppgraded this DLO to version 2010 latest service pack. The program crashes when I start Notes Client and when I shutdown DLO before starting Notes no crash happens. I decided to reinstall Notes Client again but this time I did not check the box for faster startup. Now my system works fine, no more crashes in the morning. Has anybody else encountered this ?

I’ve seen the symptom where Notes 8.5.2 Standard on Windows XPP crashes on startup. Basic mode seems to avoid it. Will try your suggestion of reinstalling without the preload.
