Lotus Notes 7 in Citrix; problems starting program

I have installed the notes client (curently 7.0.3) in a citrix presentation server accourding to the instructions available here online; with the exception that I do use the client data foldes on a network share.

We have not experienced any problems in launching notes in the past. We recently launched an Intranet, and it contains calls to databases, which when clicked attempt to open Lotus NOtes. (Using the Intranet on a published desktop).

The following methods to launch notes work:

using the shortcuts I created in the all user desktops that contain 'T:\notes\data\notes.ini" in the path

using the published app from the citrix program neighborhood agent

What does nto work:

when any other progam attemps to open Notes through a system call

Using the installer created shortcut in the all users\programs\lotus ntoes folder (and only shows “Lotus Notes 7” in the path name)

When either events happen, the splash screen is displayed, but Notes never opens. It does not even start the configuration process.

I have isolated a test server, and I have chagned every registry key I could find that referenced the default data install folder (C:\r7clientdata) to T:\notes\data\

I tried appending the =T:\notes\data\notes.ini in the shell\open registry key for notes.exe

I have used SysInternal’s regmon, and filemon to help examine what is trying to be accessed. regmon shows far to much information to decipher what the nlnotes.exe is attempting to access

when trying to launch notes through the installer shortcut, filemon shows repeated searches for C:\program files\notes\data\notes.ini". This file, obvisouly does not exist.

I cannot find this path in the registry at all.

Any help will be greatly appricaited.

-If the notes client is already open prior to a user clicking on a link to a notes database from the Intranet, the database opens just fine in Notes.

How was Lotus Notes installed? Per User/Per Machine?

Did you install it through Add/Remove Programs or using the change user /install /execute commands?

I used change user /install and installed the Notes client with the option “only for Me” during setup.
