Lotus Notes 6.0.1 works with Intellisync 5.0

Hi all …

I just upgraded my Notes Client from 5.0 to 6.01. I have been running Intellisync 5.00.03 (build 851.42). So far my Palm M505 still syncs with my Notes Client. However I’ve been syncing only with my local copy of my mail db, specifically my datebook only.

I did try installing Intellisync on a Notes 6 only PC … but Intellisync did detect that Notes 5 was not on the pc.

This is probably not the best solution … having Notes 5 on first then Intellisync, then Notes 6, but at least it’s an alternative.

(tired of waiting for Intellisync upgrades)

Subject: Lotus Notes 6.0.1 works with Intellisync 5.0

We currently use Intellisync 5.0.3 on Notes 4.x and 5.x clients after being told to revert back from version 5.1.1. The newer version killed a couple of peoples machines.

I recently email Intellisync support inquiring about r6.x support and got a response. Intellisync version 6 will support Notes r6.x and will be released this fall whatever that means.

My determination was to start testing mnotes by commontime asap. I do not want to base our client upgrade schedule on Intellisync’s own schedule.

Other syncing suggestions are welcome.

Note: We do like the Intellisync interface which allows syncing of select items while the Palm desktop syncs the items not chosen in Intellisync.

Subject: I agree w/ vote for mNotes

I agree with your thoughts about mNotes by commontime (http://www.commontime.com).

The basic product (mNotes) syncs mail, calendar, to-do, contacts, journal, etc. The other product (the equivalent of Pylon Pro) called mForms does custom databases.

Subject: Pylon Pro is really effective for me.

Hi Elijah,

I using Pylon Pro from AvantGo and really like it alot. Has the ability to consolidate multiple address type databases into the user’s address book. Also supports synchronization of custom Notes apps as well. Palm & Pocket PC supported.

Pylon Conduit is less than Pylon Pro (which is pretty darn expensive)…

Subject: Lotus Notes 6.0.1 does not work with Intellisync 5.0

Intellisync will not support a custom email template. Ours only has some minor changes, but nothing to affect the structure of the email and address book. We also use a multiuser install, and I suspect that is our real problem- That intellisync can’t work on a multiuser installation.
