How can use the out-of office in Louts Notes 5 under the Domino Server R6.5.4 environment?
When I try to enable the out-of-office in Notes Client R5, it prompt I need to contact Manager and Designer, How can solve it except upgrade the client from R5 to R6?

What access does your users have? I think they need to be managers or designers to their mailfiles to activate an agent in your environment.

Actually, I’m ad administrator. In R5, out of office should be activate in the server first. However, by default, out of office can be used automatically in R6.

In R5, it was necessary to give your users at least Designer access in order to enable the OOO. That doesn’t change just because the R5 database is sitting on a Domino 6 server – it’s the agent (and the way the agent is enable in the mail template) that changed in the Notes 6 mail template. If you have R5 clients using R5 databases, they still need to have higher than Editor access to the database in order to enable the OOO agent.
