The Lotus Expeditor team has made available the Lotus Expeditor Toolkit for Notes 8.5.1 plug-in development. The toolkit can be used to build, test, and package plug-ins for deployment to the Lotus Notes Client along with Lotus Expeditor, Lotus Sametime, and Lotus Symphony. The toolkit is available for free to developers building plug-ins for these Lotus client products.
In conjunction with the Toolkit, the Expeditor team has made available a Developer’s Edition of the Expeditor Client Platform. This developers edition can be used as a client runtime platform during the development of your plug-ins. For Notes plug-in developers, this can be a valuable platform to test and debug plug-ins before running in the full Notes client. The Expeditor Developer’s edition does not provide any Notes specific APIs, so this will only be useful in testing and debugging your plug-ins that are using Expeditor and Eclipse level APIs and services.
