Lotus/Domino Hosting

I am looking for a good hosting company for Lotus Notes. Need design work, license purchase and hosting.

Does anyone have any personal recommendations considering good value, support, up-time, etc.

Subject: Connectria has been great for us for hosting

They have had great uptime and great support. I recommend them highly. We have a dedicated server at their facility.

For design work check out the members of Penumbra (http://www.penumbra.org)

Hello Michael,

Jagre uses Prominic.Net for Lotus Domino hosting services. I am not certain if Prominic does design work.

Prominic recently began to offer a great deal on non-shared server machines using on Red Hat Linux or Microsoft Windows 2000. You can get more information on Prominic’s Web site.

I can reccommend Domino Hosting and Development Services | Domino Developer Network

Subject: Domino Developer Network - NOT WORTH IT

I signed up for their free development hosting about 3 years ago. When they decided to start charging $10 per month for this service, I signed up. I was happy with their service while I used it. When I found that I was no longer using the service, I attempted to cancel it in June of 2003. They would not cancel my account. I started a dispute process through VISA in Sept. of 2003. Now, a year later, they are still charging my card. Every month, I receive the charge, then I call VISA. VISA credits my account back and then charges Domino Developer an additional $25. The people at VISA just laugh at DDN, saying that it is costing them much more to keep charging me than to just stop. However, they say they cannot stop the merchant (ddn) from charging my credit card because I gave them my account number. So every month I have to make this phone call!!! It is very annoying even though I am not actually paying any money to them now.

As a result of this, I feel that Domino Developer Network is a dishonest and untrustworthy company. I wouldn’t advise anyone to give them their credit card number.

Subject: Please call us

Dena-Please do give us a call. I can’t find your name in any of our records, we aren’t getting any notices from Visa, and unfortunately, I need more information in order to determine what might have gone wrong. Feel free to ask for me directly at 800-420-0001.

Thanks,

Melissa

Subject: Hoping for the best

I spoke with Melissa on the phone. She was very nice and helpful. She is confident that the problem is taken care of now. However, I talked to someone there in Feb. who was equally nice and confident, yet I continued to be charged. I will take a wait and see approach to this for now and I will post again in a couple of months and let everyone know what happens.
