Lotus DAMO with Outlook 2007: Unable To Accept Meeting Requests

When using DAMO version 7.0.2 with Outlook 2007, I am unable to accept any meeting invitations because Outlook seems to see me as the organizer of all meeting requests. All response buttons are greyed out, and underneath, the text “As the meeting organizer, you do not need to respond to this meeting” is displayed. The “From” field, however, properly displays someone other than myself.

If I accept the meeting from the regular Lotus Notes client, it correctly moves the meeting into my calendar, but only in Notes, not in Outlook. But once accepted, I can then manually move the meeting to my calendar in Outlook.

Is anyone else able to reproduce this?

I’m having the same issue although I can’t always move the meeting into my Outlook calendar after I accept it in Notes. Sometimes that works but more often than not it does NOT work.

Unfortunately that means I have to keep both clients open all the time. A shame.

I have always preferred Outlook over Notes but until recently I have conceded the fact that I will have to use Notes. Recently I have discovered OneNote and its tight integration with Outlook has caused me to take the plunge with the DAMO utility.

Not a great solution but it will do I guess.
