Hi all,
I have a Listbox (Editable) with Multiple values enabled.
The entries are from a view column. (via ODBC using @dbCommand)
When the user selects multiple entries, I want to then pull some more information for each entry. (Information that the user does not want to see, but information I need to add to the document.)
The problem I am having is making sure that each selection pulls the correct data, and ensuring that I can iterate through the User Selection and Additional data keeping the correct order.
Any ideas how I can keep some sort of key to make sure the data is in the correct order? The problem I need to avoid is any field limits 64K
Subject: Lookups on elements in field
Is the information you need to display static? Meaning will it be the same on all documents for that selection? Is it something that needs to be done via another @dbCommand or other lookup from somewhere? What type of data are you getting? How much? Is this a web app or a client app?

Basically this was the difference between what the user saw and what information I needed in the background.
To get around the issue, I had a couple of options.
So far, I have performed 2 lookups and place the 2nd lookup into an array and use it as a key. The 2nd lookup uses a SQL column that has a number of column details bunched together in 1 string with # between each element representing a ‘column’.
With the User selection of the first normal lookup to 1 column, I perform a search on the 2nd array and then extract the information I require where the search is an exact match on the start of the string.
I could only do this because the result would always be 1.
Cheers
