Hi !
when I log-out of the embedded sametime client and log-in again (without restart the notes client)
the chat window starts automatically with the last saved chats.
What´s the reason for that ? and how can I turn this off ?
Regards, Stefanie

Hello,
this is known problem. In Sametime 11.5 you have persistent chat which means all chats are "active" even if you close client. So next time you start your client, you will see your last chat.
If you want to stop this, simply close conversation (small X button near contact on the left of open chat window). This will mark conversation as ended and you will not see popup window during Notes restart.
It's not a bug, but a feature. 😊
Hello Stefanie,
You can disable the chat window with following settings C:\Program Files (x86)\HCL\Notes\framework\rcp\plugin_customization.ini
com.ibm.collaboration.realtime.chatwindow/showLoadingPanel=false
com.ibm.collaboration.realtime.chatwindow/lazyLoadingPanel=false

Hi Bernd,
we´re already using this settings.
So no chat window starts automatically when starting the notes client.
But login and logoff in sametime without close the whole notes client the settings has not effect.
Stefanie
Hello Stefanie,
You're right. The Sametime chat window is starting automatically again.
I hope the HCL support has a solution for that?
Bernd
Hello Stehanie,
This is Steve Waggoner with Sametime support.
Question for you, are you by chance using the single chat window or tabbed chats ?
The reason I ask, is that we recommend in 11.x to use the tabbed chat preference as using single chat will cause each chat window to open up once Sametime is started.
After I get and have this understood I can check further into this and see what information I can provide further.
Thanks
Hi Steve,
we´re using the tabbed chat preferences.
