Hi,
I have one question regarding “Login to Notes using your operating system login” functionality in Lotus Notes.
There is any way I can tell if this option is selected or not (by searching the registry or notes.ini)?
Thank you,
Gelu

Don’t quote me but there is an .ini setting called $SingleLogon=0 that may be what you are looking for. I couldn’t find it referenced anywhere else but I use single signon and this is in my .ini setting.
Hope That Helps.

I’m not sure if there is a tell tale sign that tells you that you’re using the single sign on feature, but there are two ways that you’ll know if it’s on or not. First, if you log into your OS, and then you go into Notes and you’re not prompted for a password, this is a good sign that you have the single sign on piece, installed. The other way you’ll know is when you log into the OS, and then you try to get into Notes, and it tells you that the password that your ID is set to does not match your Windows password. Now if you’re not prompted for a password, from Notes, it could also be that some uncareful Notes admin created your ID with no password, rather than it be an install of single sign on! ![]()

Hi,
Thank you for your responses.
I found that when this option is enabled, the operating system service “Lotus Notes Single Logon” is enabled. A third party application can check the service status to identify if the option is enable/disable.
