Login Screen appearing unexpectedly on web

I have a form in a database on our website. After competing the form and click submit, it is Supposed to execute the code in the $$Return field and say "thank you… " and provide a link back to main page. this works in other databases.

This time… it produces a login screen. The form/document IS definitely saved in the database, but user also sees the login screen.

  • DB ACL: Anonymous is set to Author - with create access

  • Form security allows create by “All Authors and Above”

I have another form in the same database and it submits fine without login screen and produces the nice thank you message. Both have the same $$Return field at the end.

Does anyone know of any other reason the login screen is coming up?

  1. Does the form contain an Authors field, to specify who can edit.2) The $$Return URL, does it contain the servername, if so beat someone around the head and check if its the same hostname, if different you will have to login again.

Many possible reasons

Is there any agent on WQS? Check if you try to edit the document after saving it.

Subject: WQS?

what is WQS?

Subject: RE: WQS?

WQS is a common Notes slang/short for WebQuerySave. WebQuerySave is the event which happens when you hit the Submit or Save button from a Web Form (usually triggered by @Command([FileSave]). The WQS event itself is usually coded as: @Command([ToolsRunMacro];“LotusScriptAgentName”), which then runs a LotusScript agent on the server, and make miracles to your document which you are saving, or to anything else. WQO means WebQueryOpen accordingly.
