Hi,
My Query is related to Lock Out a User in Domino Administrator. I Searched in the Google to Lock out a User and found some sites related to it. According to that sites what i did is :
I selected the user to Lock out and gone to the Set Password Fields Menu Item in the Actions Menu there i kept “Lockout ID” for Check Notes Password and clicked “OK” button. But it is of no help. Even though i am authenticating the user with invalid password after several attempts also i am not getting message as “User is Locked Out”. Is there any other steps i am missing other than what i am doing.
Please revert me back if any solution for this.
Thanks in Advance.
Kalyan.

I’m not sure if this is what you are trying to achieve, but there is a section in the security section of the server document that will allow you to block access to the server altogether?
Or you could use a Deny Access group?

Yes, there is another step you need to take. You also need to enable password checking in the server document for those servers that you want to check Notes IDs. The field is labelled “Check passwords on Notes IDs” in the Security Settings section of the Security tab. This change requires a server restart to take effect.
However, Andrew’s point is valid. If you are trying to deny access to people who have left the organisation, then the better approach is to add a group name (e.g. Leavers) to the Not Access Server field in the Server Access section of the Security tab of the server document and then add users to this group as they leave the company. Adding the new group name requires a restart to take effect, but adding users to the group will then work on the fly.
