I am using lotus notes 8.5 and two days before got an massage “I/O data error” while opening the local file from lotus notes. Right now unable to retreive that file.
Kinldy give me the solution how to retreive this file.

When you say local you mean on the actual c drive? Do you have and virus scan software running. You need to exclude the notes data directory from the realtime and scheduled scan.
If you still have opening the db you can try fixup/compact but hopefully you have a backup.
