Loading notes 8.5.2

Hi

I just installed the notes 8.5.2, the when entering the password it just keeps loading forever, waited several ours now, I did see that it upgraded the mailfile design.

Then i have tried to repair, reinstall in another locaiton, fresh install, delete the framwork folder, it just keep standing in a loop “loading…please wait”

I can start it in the basic mode.

I have no more clues what to do, i have cleared out the temp…updated the java client.

I have run compact/fixup on all local db.s

Please give me some suggestions

Subject: Try rename/remove the workspace folder under your Notes data.

Subject: I have done that

I have removed all the reg entries aswell…it just keeps loading…

ah greeat solution, I can install 8.5.1, isnt that odd.

Subject: I removed bookmark.nsf and renamed workspace folder, Worked…

Subject: Finally

I got it to work, downgraded to 8.5.1, then I installed one part, first notes then admin and so on. Now its up n running

Subject: the fix

(1) data\workspace rename to data\workspaceRENAMED(2) data\bookmarks.nsf rename to data\bookmarksRENAMED.nsf

(3) rename C:\Program Files\lotus\notes\framework to

C:\Program Files\lotus\notes\framework_broken

be sure to kill nlnotes.exe notes.exe … and notes 8.5 should work

Subject: thank you

This worked for me after I upgraded from 8.5.1 to 8.5.2 this failed and I have been tearing my hair out

now it works

thank you

Subject: In my case, recreation of bookmark.nsf helps to deal with the problem

I had the problem of no loading Lotus Notes, after i upgraded it from 8.5 to 8.5.2.The problem was fixed when i deleted bookmark.nsf file.

More, It’s strange, but exelent, Notes itself restored all my workspace’s database icons and bookmarks.

Subject: “loading… please wait”

Having the same problem after upgrading to 8.5.2, tried all this “fixes” and nothing works.

Any ideia?

Subject: This is an error with Notes 8.5.2. No fix yet.

I have the same issue with a Notes 8.5.2 roll-out to 1.000 clients. Aprox. 20-25% get this error. If more users share the same PC (multi user installation), more people on that PC get’s the error. Mostly the first user works, rarely the second user logging on to a PC works, and almost never the 3. user.I opened a PMR (81987,SGC,724), and there is also another ticket on this on Lotus Support : LO56395

No resolution yet, I got a fix, but it does not fix the issue.
