Our company has created certain forms that were placed into the mail template. These forms have undergone some recent changes and the developer has placed them into the template. The changes didn’t show up in the mailboxes, even after people did a design refresh. I’ve tried to run a load convert command without any success. I’d like some ideas on fixing this problem. Thanks.
Subject: Load Convert of mailbox templates problem
You can check whether the problem is with the forms in the mail template itself by creating a new mail file based on it. If the new forms do not appear in the newly created mail file, then you know there is a problem back in the template.
On the other hand, if the new forms appear as expected, then your problem is more likely to be in the existing mail files. If the new forms are updates to existing forms, then check (using the designer client) in a couple of mail files to see whether the existing forms have got the attribute ‘prohibit design refresh/replace to modify’ set - this will prevent the new forms from appearing properly.
On a side note, it’s a good idea to store all your custom forms in a separate template from the out of box mail template, and to paste them into the mail template AND MAINTAIN INHERITANCE back to your forms template.
