Living with Outlook

I have a contingent of staff that are using Outlook on an external server. I want to move them into the fold to our Domino servers and to do this I will need to allow the clients to access the Domino server via the Outlook client. I know this can be done, but I have a question about domains.

Our primary Domino domain is american-appraisal.com and I have other domains as well (american-appraisal.es, etc) and using the Notes location document, I can have staff easily switch their external address to the various domains we have.

Can this be done with the Outlook client? I’m not actually looking for the actual steps at this point, but simply if it can be done.

For instance, if I’m an Outlook client, I want to be able to retrieve my e-mail from the Domino (7.0.2) server, and for some external communications I want my e-mail domain to be @american-aprraisal.com and for others I want it to be @differentdomain.com

Can Outlook make this switch back and forth as easy and the Notes client can?

I’m obviously not impressed with your technical response to my business need.

If this was your attempt at humor, it was not appreciated, nor would you like it if someone were to respond to your ‘Domino Web Access Customization’ with such a trite response.

For the others out there that can assist, I look forward to your guidance.

Thank you.

Yes it can be done.In Outlook you will have to setup multiple accounts in the mail profile for each user, when they want to compose new email they will have to select which of the configured accounts they need from the new message drop down i.e. when you have multiple accounts setup in Outlook the new message button has a drop down button next to it, when clicked it lets you select the account you need.

Excellent, you just helped me immensely as I plan to integrate about 90 of our wayward staff from Outlook to Domino.
