Linking of old posts to the new user acounts

The migration is a good step. Since doing it, I could see that the old posts have been moved too, but they have anonymous user names linked to them. So, how would the linking process of old posts to the new user accounts on this Discourse community be done?

Even asked the same on the old community’s forum: HCL Volt MX - [READ-ONLY] - This Community Forum is READ-ONLY and will eventually be archived - Community

Community can provide the opportunity to the new joinees to claim the posts created by them in the old one, and if they used the same email id for both places, then the post owner details can be updated

All accounts with the same email in both communities should have the content named. If you created an account after the migration we can manually associate it. Just post the request here or send an email to dfadmin@hcltect.com

It looks to me like your old content is anon-2206. Can you double check that and let me know if you want me to update that content to your account here? Thanks.

Yes, it’s anon-2206

You should be all set now, but let me know if you have any issues.

Thank you for the assistance; now everything is sorted. Anon-2206 is not available, and the stuff has been imported to my profile

@cynthiaoehmig, I was trying to find this post from the old community in this new discourse forum, but I can’t.

Neither is there any user with the name Mariel Gonzaga, nor is there any post with the title " Volt MX Hackathon Winners". What am I missing?

We did not migrate blogs so that’s why that post from Mariel was not moved. I do see the original content here HCL Volt MX - [READ-ONLY] - Volt MX Hackathon Winners - Community

Okay, thanks for the confirmation. By the way, I also linked to that post in my previous reply.

Will the blogs not be part of the migration in the future, too? If yes, then will the archived VOLT MX old community always be available for access or not?

Most of the blog posts were past release announcements so weren’t critical to move. I’ll check with Mariel and see about including it here as well.

I just added the Hackathon Winners blog to the Volt MX Tips category!
