What are the rules that webmail uses to determine if a doclink should be displayed?
So far, if I send a docLink, it is visible in webMail if it references a database on the user’s mailserver.
If it references another server, it’s hidden.
Thanks

Subject: Link Message missing Doc Link
I’ve got the same problem using DWA7 (as is - from Lotus) and 7.0.2 FP1 on the servers. The doc links do not show up - if referencing another server where the DB resides. Plus a doc link referencing the same server show up with the red X and when you click on it - it says the link can’t be found.
I changed display to rich text format and still nothing
This just started happening since upgrading to 7.0.2 FP1
Anyone have any ideas ? Thanks in advance

Found the solution:
The domino server by default will only translate doc links to the web if the link points to a database that resides on that server’s
If you want to to translate links for databases that may reside on other servers, you need to change a parameter in the Server Document:
Tab: INTERNET PROTOCOLS - DOMINO WEB ENGINE
Parameter: Redirect to resolve external links = Disabled
Change the option from Disabled to either SERVER or BY DATABASE
The help on the option explains the difference.
I changed it on my email web server, and it now resolves the links correctly.
