Hi!I have a form by which members can send in an request to participate in an event.
Lets say that we have 200 available tickets to this event and when we have got 200 applications I would like the database to stop accepting any more request.
Is it possible to limit the number of request that they can send in using this form…how?
Subject: Limit number of entries
Create a form with a key computed field (RequestKey) and a Request number (ReqNo) computed field with their formula as same as their field names.
Uncheck these boxes in this form’s properties:
Include in Menu
Include in SearchBuilder
Create a view (RequestKey) and have two columns mapped to the respective fields as above.
When Participant sends in a request, upon that action, Access the Key document from that view and increment the number in RequestKey document.
When Participant composes the request, at this point, you can verify the ReqNo with a dblookup. (If ReqNo < 200; @Compose(… the request); @Do(“Display Error message”; @Return(“”))
This way you can restrict.
