LDAP Syncronization with Domino Directory

We have a Domino-based web Portal. The login to this application is organized (of course) via Domino directory (Domino Directory>>Directory Assistanse>>Secondary Directory). Now we have an OpenLDAP and don’t want to administer the user passwords in Domino.

I’ve written the application where in Domino form on the Web user gives his name and password, this onWebQuerySave will be sent to LDAP, LDAP gives OK/KO, if OK is coming the password will be compared with Domino password in DD, if not equal, stored in DD and then the user will be redirected to domino server with authetication in form

…?login&username=&password=.

QUESTION : unfortunatelly password could be sent only in plain text (? is this so ?) - is is there any method to use the hashed password (or smth. else) to login ? The main problem is that this login string with name and password is cashed in browser.
