I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this. I want users to be able to be able to search a parent organization’s Unix (not Domino) LDAP server to look up names and email addresses. We are able to do this via Outlook, MAC mail, and Eudora mail clients without any problems.
However, the Notes clients error out unless we do a Detailed Search and search on specific fields. For instance, we must search on Last Name Is SMITH or First Name Is Robert.
The error we get if we do not use the detailed search is: “An unexpected error occurred during LDAP search.”
I’ve tried on several computer with Notes 5, 6, and 7. I have set them up exactly as they should be with the search base fields. We have the same problem searching the built-in Verisign LDAP account. Any help would be appreciated.
