Ldap lookup to a different direcotry

All,I need to run LDAP on my external gateway for an application. The problem is that my user’s names are in a secondary address book (using Directory Cataloger - condensed version of the data on the person document), and not the primary Domino Directory on the server (names.nsf).

Is there anyway to have LDAP on this server look to this secondary address book on the server as opposed to names.nsf. I looked at the DA database, and there doesn’t appear to be anywhere to define a database name.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

David

Subject: DA is what you want, but…

You can definitely use DA for what you want - that’s what its for. Create a new doc in the DA database that points to your database and configure the document for authentication. On the last tab is where you can place a db link or enter the server and db name.

However - directory catalogs aren’t supported (or suggested IMHO) when using directory assistance. You’ll want to use the pubnames.ntf has the design and create a full “secondary” directory. You can also use the Extended Directory Catalog (again, this uses the pubnames.ntf) if you need to aggregate directory info.
