According to IBM’s DST deployment guide (step 3), you need to run the IBM JTZU to update the internal java time zone tables.
So I extracted the Windows 32 bit jtzu tool and extracted it to the test server in c:\jtzu. Then I edited the runjtzu.bat file to point towards the c:\notes\jvm directory on the server.
However, when I run the runjtzu.bat file from a cmd promtp I get the following error:
‘The IBM Time Zone update utility for Java (JTZU.jar) doesn’t exist. End of IBM Time Zone update utility for java (jtzu).’
The JTZU.jar file was extracted to the c:\jtzu directory that I created and is in the same location as the runjtzu.bat file. What the heck am I doing wrong?
Technote 1249964 says you need to set JAVA_HOME to your JRE directory. I can’t tell from the note if this is an OS env var or something in the bat file.
