I tried to search on this before posting, but as you can see by my subject line, it was kind of hard to come up with search terms…so please forgive me if this question has already been answered.
I have a user whose Notes client was upgraded to 6.0.3 yesterday, from 4.6. Upgrade went fine…no problems at all. Today, he told me it appears that attachments from senders outside our company are being “stripped” from his emails. He forwarded one of these messages to me…it was basically a JPG file attached (supposedly) to a blank email. Rather than appearing as a “launchable” attachment, it appears at the bottom of the message…as just text. (i.e. it’s showing the name of the file, but there is no file to open).
Here’s part of what was sent to me to look into:

This “attachment” appears exactly as it does here. As a filename.
I am runnng Domino 6.0.3 on W2K Server. User’s person doc is set to “prefers Notes Rich Text”. We also have had to add a couple notes.ini entries to quell the HTML rendering issue in 4.6 clients, pending their upgrade. Not sure if that is relevant, but thought I’d mention it. We do have an SMTP Gateway, & that was the first thing I checked…no attachments were removed from any message sent to this user.
Has anyone encountered this? I’m sure it’s something ridiculously simple…but I’d appreciate help, if anyone’s able to offer some.
